Entrance: recording, classification or visitor counting?

These are three different objectives. The DS-2CD2346G2H-I(U) datasheet lists people/vehicle target classification and region/line-crossing events. This document is not enough to advertise that every AcuSense camera offers visitor counting, heat maps or identity recognition.

For backlit glass doors, survey the mounting angle, brightness and distance. The 2.8 mm and 4 mm lenses have different fields of view according to the datasheet; choose based on the floor plan, not just resolution.

SVTEK design suggestion: identify blind spots, transaction points that need cross-checking, and how long video must be kept. If you want to link POS and video, check the integration features of each recorder, software and POS; do not assume buying a camera includes it.

Audio recording requires confirmation of hardware and usage policy. In the DS-2CD2346G2H-I(U) example, the built-in microphone is listed only for the -U variant; it is not a common attribute of all cameras.

Stockroom and remote management

Survey items: location of goods, after-hours lighting, power, network and access rights. The example datasheet lists several event-linkage mechanisms such as sending email, recording and notifying a central platform; actual operation depends on configuration and the receiving system. This should not be taken as a guarantee that alerts reach your phone.

ONVIF Profile T has mandatory and conditional features. When combining cameras/recorders from different vendors, check the specific profile and compatible devices; an ONVIF label does not guarantee that every AI feature is passed through.

Conditions to check during deployment

Bring the floor plan, number of entrances, opening hours, counter/stockroom locations, desired retention days and who handles events. Test viewing angles, events and the response flow in the real environment. The items above are survey recommendations, not performance commitments or SVTEK case studies.
